Site Survey
After you have signed a contract with a FranklinWH installation partner, an on-site survey by an expert will typically be arranged. Based on your home's electrical system and power usage, a system design will be provided. Once you approve the plan, the installer will provide the application to the local inspector and coordinate the specific installation date with you after the application is approved. Please work with your local installer on design guidance, installation process and timeline.
Prepare Your Home
Please ensure that there is a clear path for your installer to move the equipment to the installation site. This will allow for a faster and more efficient installation. Your installer will work with you to meet all local safety requirements.
Internet Availability
The Franklin Home Power system requires an active Internet connection to maintain warranty and so that you can use the FranklinWH App to monitor your system and adjust any settings. The most reliable communications method is an ethernet cable, so it is necessary to confirm the location of the router before installation so that the installer can efficiently connect your system to the network on the installation day. If the Wifi network signal easily covers the aGate installation area, you’ll need to verify in advance that the network password is known and valid.
