Meet Dynamic Energy Needs
An Open
Energy Ecosystem
Being AC-coupled, the FranklinWH solution stands apart as an open energy ecosystem, capable of integrating various energy sources such as solar, grid, generator, and EV together with battery, enabling uninterrupted energy flow, optimizing energy supply and use, and achieving unrivaled energy freedom.
Vehicle to Load (V2L) Technology
The FranklinWH System can access your EV battery as an extra energy source, extending the home energy safety net.
Future-Proof aPower Expansion*
It is easy to scale up energy storage by adding the latest aPower to an existing installation. There is no need to overhaul or replace your system.
*At launch, the aPower 2 is compatible with the aGate 1.3 only. Compatibility with earlier aGate and aPower versions is anticipated in Q2 2025.
Agnostic to All Solar Inverters
Compatible with all solar inverters, regardless of brand and model, facilitating maximum flexibility.
Backup Generator Support
The FranklinWH System is engineered to accommodate both standby and portable backup generators, supporting high-power operations and enhancing energy resiliency.
Perfect for Both
Retrofits and New Installations
FranklinWH offers you the freedom from the need to significantly modify your existing solar setup and the constraint of picking a particular inverter. This breakthrough streamlines your installation process, making it perfect for both retrofits and new installations.
The Most Enduring Power
Backup During Outages
The multiple energy sources managed and optimized by the FranklinWH system can turn your home into a complete self-sustaining energy hub, providing the longest-lasting and most reliable power backup when an outage occurs, hedging against both short-term and longer power disruptions.

Generator Integration
The FranklinWH system works with both
standby and portable
generators, allowing high-power generator support and offering
various start options. It can be automatically triggered at a
customer set battery State of Charge (SOC) or be manually operated
through the FranklinWH App, giving added flexibility.
Moreover, the system periodically runs the generator to conduct
self-checks, verifying its functionality and providing reliable
extended backup during outages.
Vehicle-to-Loads (V2L)
V2L technology integrates your
electric vehicle (EV)* into the
home backup system, allowing you to use the EV battery to power your
home. The innovation enables smarter and more versatile home energy
control.

Smart Circuits
Smart Circuits independently manages and schedules specific high-power loads, such as EV, water pumps, and air conditioners to power your home more efficiently. For instance, you can set a schedule to charge the EV late at night, when the electricity price is at off-peak rates, or automatically disable high-power appliances to prioritize essential ones during outages.

Learn MoreQuick Returns, Lasting Benefits
FranklinWH provides superior homeowner value with a 15-year warranty and a lucrative Net Present Value (NPV)*. As an example of NPV calculation, by factoring in initial cost, the Investment Tax Credit (ITC), annual savings under utility rate of PG&E, a utility cost growth rate of 3%, and a 5% discount rate, a homeowner can have a positive return after only 5 years.
*NPV calculates the present-day value of future savings compared with initial costs.
Smart
Home Energy Partner
The FranklinWH App simplifies home energy management by controlling grid, solar, battery, generator and EV sources. It puts energy in the palm of your hand, helping monitor energy usage, optimize efficiency, and shave off electricity costs wherever you are, whenever you need.
