The FranklinWH system can manage multiple energy sources, including solar, grid, battery storage, and generators, to enhance home energy efficiency, reduce costs, and provide uninterrupted power. When the grid goes down, the FranklinWH system seamlessly switches to another energy source, ensuring a continuous power supply.
Solar
Integrated with the FranklinWH system, your PV system's efficiency is optimized by allowing you to use solar energy day and night. The AC-coupled system ensures compatibility with almost all inverters, adapting to various solar installation scenarios. The FranklinWH system is suitable for both large PV systems and retrofit installations and is compatible with various solar incentives to maximize economic benefits.
Grid
The FranklinWH system can operate independently of a PV system as a home backup power source. When the grid is functional, it charges the aPower battery. During grid outages, the aPower battery reliably powers the home. Additionally, under Time of Use (TOU) rates, the FranklinWH system can charge the battery during off-peak hours and discharge it during peak hours to save on energy bills.
Generator
The FranklinWH system is generator-ready. With the optional FranklinWH Generator Module, a standby generator can be managed and controlled, integrating it as an additional energy source for the home. Installation is smooth, requiring no external components. This capability ensures power supply even during extended outages.
Control types:
- Utility Voltage Sensing
- Two-wire Dry Contact
- ATS (Auto transfer switch)
Electrical Vehicle
The FranklinWH system offers versatile capabilities by directly charging electric vehicles (EVs) while utilizing multiple energy sources for robust backup. Whether harnessing solar power, battery storage, grid connectivity, or generator support, FranklinWH ensures a continuous energy supply to charge EVs efficiently. This integrated approach enhances EV owners' convenience and reinforces home energy resilience through diversified power sources, adapting seamlessly to varying energy demands and conditions.
The FranklinWH system not only supports EV chargers but also addresses the increasing trend of using EVs as a supplementary power source. Integrating electric vehicles (EVs) with the FranklinWH system significantly enhances home energy resilience and efficiency. As EV battery technology continues to advance, EVs are becoming integral to modern home energy management strategies. Future plans for the FranklinWH system include seamless integration with EV batteries, further diversifying and strengthening the system's energy capabilities.
