Why is my home still using grid power when I have solar and battery?

-
1.Your solar generation is not enough to cover your real‑time home load, so the system draws supplemental power from the grid.
-
2.Your battery may be in a reserved state and not yet allowed to discharge for daily use.
-
3.The system may be operating under Time‑of‑Use rules, VPP events, or enrolled utility battery programs, which temporarily limit battery discharge.
-
4.If the battery temperature is too low, such as less than -4°F(-20°C), or too high, such as over 130°F(55°C), discharge will be restricted to protect the battery, and the grid will supply your home instead.
-
5.Emergency Backup Mode or Storm Hedge mode may be active, keeping the battery reserved and prioritizing grid power for daily consumption.
