Why do some things stay on during an outage and others don't?

Your FranklinWH system only powers predefined essential backup loads during a power outage.
These critical circuits are wired to the backup output of your system, so they remain running.
All other non-essential household circuits remain disconnected from the battery and solar power during an outage, so those devices will stay off.
Additionally, if your total connected load exceeds the system’s backup power capacity, high-wattage appliances connected to the smart circuits will automatically shut down to avoid overloading and protect the system.
