Solar CT Troubleshooting

1. Split CT installed in wrong position

According to the Split CT application scenario, select the corresponding installation position schematic to check whether the Split CT installation position is correct.

1.1 Scenario D: A PV system connected to non-backup port sub-panel system Power Production Metering

Split CT2 should be installed on the L2 cable.
 
 

1.2 Scenario E: A Line-Side Sub-panel System with PV Metering

Split CT 1 should be installed on the L2 copper row of the PV SubPanel.
 

2. Split CT is installed in the wrong direction

Check that the Split CT is installed in the correct direction.
According to the Split CT application scenario, select the corresponding installation direction schematic to check whether the Split CT installation direction is correct.
The direction of the arrow on the Split CT should match the direction of the arrow in the installation schematic.

3. Split CT wiring error

According to the Split CT application scenario, select the corresponding wiring schematic to check whether the Split CT wiring is correct.
 

3.1 Scenario D: A PV system connected to non-backup port sub-panel system Power Production Metering

Split CT 2 should be connected to the CT 2 connector of the EMS module, white cable to “+”, black cable to “-”.
 

3.2 Scenario E: A Line-Side Sub-panel System with PV Metering

Split CT 1 should be connected to the CT 1 connector of the EMS module, white cable to “+”, black cable to “-”.
