What happens to my system during a power outage?

When the grid goes down, your FranklinWH system automatically switches to off-grid Emergency Backup Mode.
Solar and battery power will independently supply your essential home loads, while disconnecting from the utility grid for safety protection.
The system maintains a portion of battery capacity based on your preset reserve percentage to preserve backup readiness. Solar power will continue charging the battery whenever sunlight is available.
Once grid power is restored, the system automatically reverts to normal on-grid operation, resuming regular solar self-consumption, battery charge and discharge cycles, and grid energy export.
