Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Strategic Accounts, the Senior Manager – Grid Services and Utility Partnerships execute the FranklinWH sales strategy for our expanding Grid Services and Utility Partners division. This person will be responsible for driving sales and business development, identifying business opportunities in the space, qualifying partners such as utilities, DER retailers, ISO/RTOs, and VPP/Co-op opportunities. This role requires experience creating and navigating new revenue streams profitably as well as the ability to position and negotiate amongst key stakeholders in the utility segment. Strong intrapreneurial experience coupled with ability to manage multiple complex projects at the same time are a must.
A successful candidate will be familiar with existing and evolving renewables policy related to utility deployment or DER and DERMS programs.
The Senior Manager – Grid Services and Utility Partnerships is accountable for building a robust and profitable business segment. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up environment.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working within a fast-past US organization. Primary responsibilities of this position include:
Identify, sell and close new customer accounts in the Grid Services and Utility sales vertical. Managing and strengthening relationships with existing partners to drive sales volume and profitability growth.
Create access to the key utilities for FranklinWH to have an opportunity to present its capabilities as a long-term energy storage service provider.
Promote the adoption of FranklinWH products and services, including hardware, and software, by delivering solutions that tackle utilities' operational and regulatory challenges, while working with product team to identify market needs and shortages.
In conjunction with FranklinWH’s Sales Management, develop strategic sales plans to include target accounts, profitability enhancements and sales forecasts.
Develop an understanding of competing energy storage technologies and use this knowledge to inform clients of FranklinWH’s competitive advantages and value propositions.
Champion value selling processes and practices to maximize selling effectiveness and the customer experience.

Qualifications And Experience
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will possess:
Minimum of 10 years of work experience in technical equipment or services sales’ role or equivalent
Excellent organizational and time management skills with minimal supervision.
Proven track record of sales success and achieving revenue growth, preferably in the energy industry. Experience in sales of energy storage systems, software services or related capital equipment and/or services is highly desirable but not required.
In-depth knowledge of demand response, energy storage, and Virtual Power Plants (VPP), with a demonstrated ability to deliver utility-compatible execution and solutions.
Excellent communication skills; verbal, written, and presentation format.
A bachelor’s degree, Post Graduate degree is highly desirable but not required.
