Position Summary:

The Pre-sale Product Manager / Application Engineer is at the core of the product management team’s work in presenting and promoting the company’s products and solution, comparing competitors’ products and solutions, communicating with customers to build their confidence with products and solutions, compiling customer and market feedback for product improvement and road map. The position works with product managers, sales, and service engineers as a team. The role employs highly effective communication and organizational skills to thrive in a high flow environment. The ideal candidate has natural talent explaining engineering topics to normal people.

This role involves traveling to meet with distributors and installers to present and demonstrate our company’s products and solutions. The primary purpose of these visits is to enhance product understanding and support our partners in effectively marketing, selling and installing our offerings. This role requires strong communication skills, a good understanding of our product portfolio, and the ability to engage and persuade potential clients.

- Communicating with company R&D, Product, and Marketing teams to contribute on the product design, solution presentations, and competition analysis. Excellent opportunity to have direct impact on the product and business plan.

- Develop and improve product documentation.

- Conducting market analysis and research on established and emerging technologies ranging from circuit design, incentive policy, V2H, and electrical code.

- Create eye catching and incisive slide decks.

- Work with product line technical team to understand product issues and manage customer perception about product and solutions.

- Attending industry shows, events and support company on-site arrangements.

- In compliance with the FranklinWH Code of Business Conduct.

- Complete other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications And Experience

Qualifications

- Impeccable organizational skills and prolific note taking.

- BS/MS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related area with 1-3 years of experience.

- Long history of demonstrated interest in Solar or Electrical industries. Preference for demonstrated interest in Behind the Meter and DER assets.

- Strong interpersonal skills and strong attention to teamwork.

- Ability to read & understand electrical, structural, mechanical & architectural drawings.

- Must be self-driven, highly motivated & able to work with minimal supervision.

- Ability to travel up to 50%

Capable of working at heights including on rooftops (with proper PPE), climbing ladders and stairs; and performing repetitious duties, including lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time such as setting up a convention show booth

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bilingual in English and Spanish is an asset

Residing in the Greater Bay Area is a must
