What is the DSGS Program?

Demand Side Grid Support (DSGS) is a new type of demand response program, specifically designed for flexible-load distributed energy resources (DERs). For Leap battery storage technology partners, FranklinWH, DSGS offers new ways to monetize assets through more frequent dispatch opportunities and support for energy exports. DSGS simplifies program enrollment by using device-level data instead of utility meter data, unlocking participation for assets that haven’t previously been able to participate in grid services programs.

Application Process

Certified installation and commissioning of the Franklin Home Power system

Customer agrees to terms and conditions through the FranklinWH App

FranklinWH will need to approve the application, which triggers the utility approval process

After both approvals, the customer is enrolled into the program

Enroll customer in Demand Side Grid Support (DSGS) program through the FranklinWH App
