The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for overseeing budget performance, conducting cost variance analysis, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and driving process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy across the organization. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and responsible for using their analytical mindset to analyze and interpret financial data, then relating it to potential business trends and issues. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in areas such as financial analysis, expense review, budget management, manufacturing and cost accounting. This role will play a key part in financial planning, tax compliance, and operational efficiency within the organization.

Responsibilities

- Expense Review & Budget Management: Analyze company expenditures, monitor budget performance, and provide insights to improve cost efficiency.

- Manufacturing & Cost Accounting: Support financial reporting and cost accounting functions related to manufacturing operations, including cost variance analysis.

- Financial & Tax Policy Research: Conduct research on financial and tax regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for optimization.

- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Consistently analyze financial information based on both routine and ad-hoc reports

- Compliance: Monitors financial details to ensure legal compliance

- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications And Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

- Minimum of 6 years of experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, or budget management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

- Strong understanding of financial statements, general accounting principles, and tax regulations.

- Experience with setting up new entities, including knowledge of sales tax permits, bank accounts, and bond applications, is a plus.

- Proficiency in financial software, Excel, and ERP systems.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
